We want you to be happy with every MacMeUp app you buy. This Refund Policy explains when and how you can get your money back for a purchase made in the MacMeUp Store. It forms part of our Terms of Use.
1. 14-day money-back guarantee
If a paid app does not work for you, for any reason, you can ask for a full refund within 14 days of purchase. You do not need to explain why, although your feedback helps us improve.
2. How to ask for a refund
- Email [email protected] or use the Contact page, choosing “Refund request” as the topic.
- Include the email address you paid with and your licence key (it starts with
MMU-) or the PayPal transaction ID. - We will confirm by email and issue the refund through PayPal, usually within a few business days.
Refunds go back to the original payment method through PayPal. How long it takes to appear depends on PayPal and your bank or card issuer, typically 3–10 business days. We refund the full price you paid; we cannot refund fees or exchange-rate differences charged by your bank.
3. What happens to your licence
When a refund is issued, the licence key it paid for is deactivated automatically on every Mac. Within a short time the app will return to its unlicensed state, at the latest when its offline check-in period ends. Please remove the app or stop using the paid features once you have been refunded.
4. After 14 days
After the 14-day period, purchases are generally final. We will still refund you, at any time, if:
- you were charged twice or charged the wrong amount;
- you never received a working licence key and we cannot fix the problem;
- a defect we cannot fix stops the app from doing what its product page describes on a Mac and macOS version listed as supported; or
- the law where you live requires a refund.
We may offer a partial refund where you have used a time-limited licence for a substantial part of its term.
5. When we may decline a refund
- The request is made more than 14 days after purchase and none of the cases in section 4 applies.
- There are signs of abuse, such as repeated buy-and-refund cycles or a licence key shared publicly.
- The app works as described, but on a Mac or macOS version its product page lists as unsupported. Please check requirements before buying; we are happy to answer questions first.
6. Chargebacks and PayPal disputes
Please contact us before opening a PayPal dispute or a chargeback; it is almost always faster. If a payment is reversed through a dispute or chargeback, the licence is deactivated automatically, just as with a refund.
7. Donations
Donations made through the Support page are voluntary gifts and are not refundable, except where a payment was made by mistake (for example a duplicate payment or the wrong amount) and you tell us within 14 days.
8. Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country that gives you a right to withdraw from online purchases, our 14-day guarantee is designed to be at least as generous as that right, and you can use it without giving a reason. Nothing in this Policy limits any rights you have under consumer protection law, including rights relating to faulty digital content.
9. Contact
Questions about a purchase? Email [email protected]. We usually reply within one or two business days.
