Warning: some tasks delete files as part of the process (for example, rebuilding caches or resetting the Dock). Read each task's description before running it, and only use "Execute All" once you're comfortable with what every individual task does.

A sluggish Mac, fixed fast

Mac Optimizer bundles the common troubleshooting tasks Mac techs reach for most: resetting NVRAM/PRAM, rebuilding system kext caches, rebuilding LaunchServices (to clean up duplicate "Open With" entries), resetting the Dock, repairing Extensions permissions, and clearing XPC service caches.

Each task is explained before you run it, and an "Execute All" option runs every task back-to-back for a full reset.

Guide

How to use Mac Optimizer

  1. Open Mac Optimizer and pick the task you need: NVRAM/PRAM reset, rebuild system caches, rebuild LaunchServices, or reset the Dock.
  2. Read the description for that task first — some of them delete files as part of the process.
  3. Click the button for that task and enter your administrator password if prompted.
  4. Re-customize the Dock or relaunch affected apps afterward, since some tasks reset them to their defaults.
  5. Only use "Execute All" once you're comfortable with what every individual task does — it runs them all in sequence.
